The living conditions in the informal settlement Ezbet Abu-Quarn, Cairo, are very poor. Fifteen students from ten different countries of the University of Stuttgart have designed a learning and reading room with students of the Ain Shams University and the inhabitants of Ezbet Abu-Quarn, this in an ecological and sustainable construction.

aqua pura donated a Waterflow 500 System for the school, which is now installed and in operation. The water filter has also been installed. To this end, 26 water containers were donated for the 26 classrooms to provide the children with clean drinking water in every classroom during the whole day.
