Project process

Often, aqua pura is contacted by those in charge of other organizations that want to run or start a school, home or hospital. In many cases, contact comes from word of mouth. We have known many of our partners for years and we are constantly realizing new projects with them. This type of cooperation is particularly valuable as it creates a basis of trust and better guarantees the sustainability of the projects.

Some of the long-standing and reliable partner organizations are: Gilgal school Uganda, Vihda Kenya, Tengwood Nigeria, Caboz action Ivory Coast, Togo assist Togo, Kipteré Kenya, CBSM-Kimilili Kenya, Victoria school Tanzania, Loke Malaysia, Project in Peru with University of Stuttgart.

The four steps in the project process

Step 1

aqua pura will provide the applicant with a form that will help to clarify expectations and the boundary conditions (how many people will benefit from the water, where the water comes from, if there is electricity, who is responsible for the operation, etc.). Based on the information received from discussions, the application checklist and the results of the water analysis, aqua pura decides on cooperation with the applicant or on the support of the project. Thereafter, an agreement is signed in which it is confirmed, among other things, that a commercial use of the water purification plant is not allowed. The application of the devices must be documented and photos and descriptions are to be provided to aqua pura as communication material.

Step 2

aqua pura provides the necessary cultures for water analysis. This determines the existing contamination. An incubator or drying cabinet is required. aqua pura supports the establishment of contacts to a hospital or, in exceptional cases, also provides an incubator, as the water controls must be repeated regularly.

Step 3

aqua pura supplies the necessary equipment for water purification (Waterflow System 250, 500 or 750), takes care of the transport if necessary and ensures the handling of the installation by adequate documentation and guidance of the responsible persons on site.

Step 4

aqua pura looks after the local contact persons, even after installation. Replacement materials such as cultures for water analysis, replacement of UV-C lamps, etc. are supplied as needed. The photos and reports provided by the project partners are made available on the aqua pura website.
